Thomas William Turner
1938 - 2014

Picture
Thomas William Turner worked as a manufacturing manager at Welsh Allyn, a manufacturer of medical diagnostic devices, for 39 years. During his career there, Turner invented the interchangeable laryngeal blade and the optical scanner in modular form.

Turner moved to Oxford in 2000 and quickly became involved in his community.  He applied his expertise in manufacturing and facilities management in his design of Oxford’s “utility barn,” a state-of-the-art maintenance facility.  He also contributed his knowledge and guidance in the area of computer technology to greatly improve the utility capabilities of Oxford.
