Graham Davis
1906 - 2004

Graham Davis graduated from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology and the Air Command and Staff School of the Air University.  He also studied at Baliol College of Oxford University in England.  Graham served as an Air Force chaplain for 27 years and was in the occupation forces of both Germany and Japan during World War II.  Among his many decorations is the Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service.  Graham and his wife, Martha lived in Oxford for 29 years and both were founding members of the Oxford Historical Shrine Society.  They both worked tirelessly for the recognition of Oxford as a World Methodist Shrine as well as for the restoration of Old Church.  They were also founding members of the Oxford Historical Cemetery Foundation.
