Noellene J. Moore
1914 - 2009

Noellene Johnson Moore was born in Thomasville, Alabama to Noel B. and Tallulah Tompkins Johnson.  Wife of Daniel C. Moore, beloved physics and mathematics professor at Oxford College, Noellene Moore was a 1935 graduate of the Georgia State Women’s College who went on to become a teacher and counselor at Newton County High School. 

Moore was the author of three books: Sim’s Gold (1996), Beyond Mayday (1991), and a short non-fiction work about the days of desegregation entitled, I Saw a Tear (1978).
