Edwin J. ("Cueball") Brown
1892 - 1953

Picture
Edwin Brown became a professor of social studies at Oxford College in 1922, also serving as director of student aid and director of physical education.  He held these positions until his retirement.  The E. J. Brown Scholarship Fund was established in his honor by his former students to help defray the expenses of worthy students. Affectionately called “’Fessor” by his students, Brown was one of the most beloved professors at Oxford College.
