1903 - 1995

Picture
Jackson was a physics and mathematics professor at Emory College as well as coach and business manager and supervisor of the physical plant.

Jackson served on the city council and was later elected mayor in 1958 and served in that capacity until 1971.

The Jackson House in Oxford was known by residents for its beautiful yard and carefully tended gardens.  Students and residents alike would walk by at all times of the year to admire and enjoy its seasonal changes.
